The product
Know the client Live
Every email, document, note, and deadline, already together. Vira tells you what changed and what you’re waiting on.
Run the firm Live
Every engagement’s state stays current: ready, waiting on the client, waiting on you, or gone quiet.
Do the work Live
Run Workpaper Prep. Source documents become a reviewable workpaper, organized and ready for your preparer.
Review In build
The return is checked against the workpaper and source documents. Your reviewer sees only the discrepancies and open questions.
Agentic practice management In build
Nobody updates a status. Every engagement sits in a firm-defined phase. The work advances as skills run, and TaxWeave alerts you when phases stall.
See it run on one of your clients.

TaxWeave at taxweave.ai is the context layer tax firms run on. It holds everything your firm knows about a client, and puts skills to work on top of it. Client emails, documents, deadlines, notes, and engagement status stay connected. Vira works from that context; skills turn it into work for human review. See current capabilities and planned workflows below.

Probably, if your firm prepares tax returns, uses Gmail or Outlook, and keeps client documents in Google Drive or OneDrive, or is willing to put them there. Your client list comes in as a CSV or Google Sheet. TaxWeave keeps every client’s emails, documents, and deadlines in one place, drafts workpapers from the source documents, and keeps the client file current. Return review is in development. You review, and you file in the software you already use.
1040 workpaper preparation is live now. 1120, 1120S, and 1065 are targeted for the 2027 season, so firms with business clients can join now and be ready when those ship.
It may not fit yet if you want one tool for client portal, billing, and e-file. TaxWeave doesn’t file returns, and it doesn’t replace client portal software today.
Not sure? Claim a spot and we’ll tell you honestly on the intro call.
AI reads, drafts, and flags. You review, and you file. Vira reads a client’s emails and documents to keep the client file current and to draft workpapers. Documents are read by a model TaxWeave runs in its own private cloud. When a task needs an outside model, like research or drafting, identifying details (SSNs, EINs, bank and routing numbers) are replaced with placeholders first, and the request is checked again on the way out. A request that still contains an identifier is not sent. Outside providers are named in our privacy policy, and their terms prohibit training on your data. Nothing is filed by AI.
TaxWeave prepares 1040 workpapers from the client’s documents and emails. You review the workpapers and file from the tax software your firm already uses. Completed-return review is in development, and business-return workflows are targeted for the 2027 tax filing season. TaxWeave does not file returns.
It can replace, or it can supplement. Client profiles and project statuses are also designed to sit alongside what you have. A secure portal and native client drives are on the roadmap after SOC 2 Type 2 is attained (currently in progress), so a full replacement is possible later if you want it.
TaxWeave reads the tools you already use. Nothing to install, nothing to log. The one thing it asks: anything it can’t attribute to a client lands in a queue for someone to resolve or dismiss.
1040 workpaper preparation is live now. Completed-return review is in development. 1120, 1120S, and 1065 workflows are targeted for the 2027 tax filing season.
Standard pricing is per client, per month: $5 for your first 200, $4 from 201 to 1,000, $3 above that, with a $99 monthly minimum. There are no seat charges. Founding firms receive 50% off for the first year, starting at $2.50 per client with a $50 monthly minimum. See the pricing details.
Your client list as a CSV or Google Sheet, and whoever can sign in to the firm’s email and document accounts (Gmail or Outlook, Google Drive or OneDrive). We connect them on the call. Importing runs on its own after that.
No. Client information is never used to create, train, or improve any AI model, ours or anyone else’s, in any form. That’s written into our privacy policy and our charter as a Public Benefit Corporation.
