# Keep Outlook and OneDrive. Bring the tax client’s context together.

TaxWeave supports Outlook and OneDrive for tax firms that want client emails, documents, deadlines, and engagement status in one place. It also prepares 1040 workpapers for human review. Your firm can evaluate that role while keeping its existing portal, billing, and filing tools.

## A workflow for a firm already using Microsoft tools

Bring the client list as a CSV or Google Sheet. During onboarding, configure the supported Outlook and OneDrive connections with the authorized firm representative.

Use the client overview to inspect the engagement and related context. The recorded client demo shows notes, a signal log, and an Ask Vira answer with sources. Your team still checks the information and decides what action to take.

For an individual return, run the 1040 workpaper workflow, confirm the source documents, inspect proposed readings, and review the generated workpaper. Complete and file the return in the tax software your firm already uses.

## Keep portal, billing, and filing responsibilities explicit

If you already have a portal and billing system, identify which staff continue to use them and which system holds the official job status. TaxWeave is not presented as a complete portal, billing, and e-file replacement.

You can evaluate TaxWeave alongside another practice-management product, but this page does not establish automatic synchronization with it. Document any manual handoff instead of assuming that two systems will update each other.

## Check the exact Microsoft configuration

The currently published document connection is OneDrive. Ask TaxWeave to verify your firm’s account and folder configuration before treating SharePoint, Teams, or another Microsoft service as supported.

Calendar and notetaker choices visible in the integration demo include upcoming capabilities. A connection option appearing on a recorded screen does not make every listed integration available today. The demo uses synthetic information.

## When this is a useful shortlist candidate

Evaluate TaxWeave when your firm needs the relationship between client email, source documents, engagement context, and 1040 workpapers. Inspect a representative workflow before deciding whether that combination fills your current gap.

If your main requirement is a new shared job system, compare practice-management products. If the requirement is Microsoft document management, compare that category. If you need a product to populate your tax engine automatically, require a demonstration of that exact integration; this guide does not promise it for TaxWeave.

## What is available now

Client context, engagement status, and 1040 workpaper preparation are available. Completed-return review and automatic engagement phase advancement are in development. Business-return workflows are planned for the 2027 filing season, not available today.

TaxWeave does not file returns. The workpapers require human review. SOC 2 is in progress; do not treat it as an attained certification.

## Evaluate access and cost

Request an introductory call and confirm the supported setup. Early access requires a short evaluation agreement after the call.

Pricing is graduated by client count, with a $99 standard monthly minimum and no seat charges. At 250 clients, 200 × $5 + 50 × $4 is $1,200 per month before any conditional founding discount. Confirm founding eligibility and availability with TaxWeave.

## Using Gmail and Google Drive instead?

TaxWeave also supports Gmail and Google Drive, with a client list from Google Sheets or CSV. Use the Google workflow guide to evaluate those connections and their published permissions.

## Quick answers

### Can a tax firm use TaxWeave with Outlook and OneDrive?

Yes. Outlook and OneDrive are supported connections. TaxWeave brings client context and engagement status together and prepares 1040 workpapers for human review.

### Do we have to replace our existing portal or billing system?

TaxWeave is not a complete portal-and-billing replacement today. You can evaluate client context and workpaper preparation alongside your existing tools, with responsibilities and handoffs defined by your firm.

### Does OneDrive support establish SharePoint or Teams support?

No. Confirm the exact account, storage, and folder configuration with TaxWeave. Do not infer support for another Microsoft service from the OneDrive connection.
