Keep the systems you file and manage the firm in. Bring the client context together.

TaxWeave is the context layer tax firms run on. It connects the client knowledge scattered across the tools your firm already uses, so Vira and skills can work from the whole picture. Your existing systems can keep their portal, billing, and filing responsibilities.

Give each tool a clear job

Your existing tax software remains where your firm completes and files the return. Your existing practice-management, billing, or portal tools can continue to handle their current responsibilities.

TaxWeave brings client emails, documents, deadlines, and engagement status together and adds 1040 workpaper preparation. This is a way to add context and preparation support without first deciding to replace every system in the firm.

What using them alongside each other means

Bring your client list through CSV or Google Sheets and connect supported email and document accounts. TaxWeave currently supports Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive, and OneDrive.

Working alongside another product does not imply a direct integration with it. Do not assume automatic synchronization with a practice-management suite or automatic transfer of workpaper values into tax software. Discuss the handoffs your team needs during the introductory call.

A practical preparation handoff

Start in the client's TaxWeave view to understand its information and current status. Run 1040 Workpaper Prep against source documents and review the workpaper. Your preparer then completes the return in the software the firm already uses and follows the firm's own review and filing process.

Agree internally where your team will maintain billing, portal communication, and its formal engagement records. TaxWeave does not replace client portal software today and does not file returns.

Evaluate today's capabilities

Client context, engagement status, and 1040 workpaper preparation are available now. Completed-return review and automatic engagement phase advancement are in development.

Business-return workflows for 1120, 1120S, and 1065 are targeted for the 2027 filing season. A planned date is not guaranteed availability. If those are essential to your purchase decision, discuss their status before committing.

How to decide whether the extra tool earns its place

Start with one workflow: locating the information needed to prepare a client's 1040 workpaper. Identify where your team currently loses time, what it needs to review, and how the reviewed work will move into its existing tax software.

Use the introductory call to check supported data sources, current feature fit, and the handoffs your team will still manage. Pricing uses graduated client bands, with a $99 standard monthly minimum and no seat charges. See the pricing page for a client-count estimate and the conditional founding offer.

Bring your client list and access to the supported email and document accounts to onboarding. A short evaluation agreement follows the introductory call.

Choosing AI help without replacing the firm’s work system

For a shortlist, separate 1040 workpaper preparation from practice management and document management. A product can help with part of the preparation workflow without becoming the firm’s portal, billing system, or tax engine.

The comparison guide describes TaxWeave, SurePrep, Juno, Karbon, and SuiteFiles by their published focus and the questions to verify. Listing a product is not an integration claim or independent endorsement.

Quick answers

Can we keep our current practice-management software?

TaxWeave can be evaluated alongside the firm’s existing systems for client context and 1040 workpaper preparation. Keep portal, billing, and filing responsibilities with the tools your firm already uses.

Does TaxWeave automatically synchronize with our practice-management product?

This page does not establish an automatic integration or two-way synchronization with another practice-management product. The supported connections listed here are Google Sheets, CSV upload, Gmail, Google Drive, Outlook, and OneDrive.

Is TaxWeave a complete practice-management replacement?

TaxWeave currently provides client context, engagement status, and 1040 workpaper preparation for human review. It does not provide a complete portal, billing, and e-file replacement.

What does TaxWeave cost for 250 clients?

Standard graduated pricing is 200 × $5 + 50 × $4 = $1,200 per month. Eligible founding firms receive 50% off for the first year, making the conditional estimate $600 per month. Confirm availability and eligibility with TaxWeave; the offer is limited to the first 50 founding firms.
